Quercetin is a wonderful compound found in fruits, particularly cherries!  It is a strong antioxidant and it is a natural anti-allergy, anti-inflammatory flavanoid. Quercetin slows down the production of a compound called prostaglandin. Prostaglandin acts as a chemical messenger in your body. It is known for making your body sensitive and aware of pain and inflammation. So, when you eat cherries you are literally putting quercetin to work in your body immediately. It works busy as a bee, fighting off and reducing inflammation, pain , and discomfort.
