Step Pushup Clap

Hey guys, I thought it would be fun to start posting one new exercise a week. I look at it as an opportunity for you to learn something new or as way to remind you of an old exercise that maybe you forgot about.

After all, mixing it up and adding variety to your workouts is key. Not to mention, it will keep your work outs fresh and interesting.

So take some time and learn my new move of the week! Follow the link and you will see my awesome client, Steve, demonstrating what I call the step pushup clap. It is a total body, fat burning, strength building, and cardio featured exercise.

Really watch his form and be sure to keep an eye on what his feet are doing. The same foot that is up in the pushup is the same foot that he steps up on the bench with. Be sure to do both legs, because you don’t want to be lopsided. =)

You can ditch the clap if it is too difficult, or simply start with one clap. Add more claps to make it more challenging. Start with 5 on each leg and build from there.
