Body Fat Percent

As a Scottsdale personal trainer, I want to emphasize the importance of a healthy body fat percent. Body fat percent is the percent of fat your body has. Knowing what your body fat percent is is a very important way to determine how healthy you are and if you are or are not at risk for several health problems.

Keeping an eye on your body fat percent is more important than watching the scale. YUP I said it! Many people have a messed up/wrong view of pounds and weight… the scale is definitely not the determining factor for whether you are healthy or not.

You have to remember MUSCLE WEIGHS MORE THAN FAT! So someone could look skinny but actually be more fat than someone who looks a little bigger but has more muscle(which implies less body fat). Continue reading “Body Fat Percent” »
