The Forerunner 205 by Garmin

Isn’t it a beauty?

Want to track your runs?

Want to see where you need extra work and where you excel?

I’m not a huge fan on loading up on fluffy workout gear for running, but if I could convince you to make one purchase it would be the Foreruuner 205 by Garmin. What a great running watch. It is incredibly helpful to know your exact pace at any given moment during your run. I love being able to look down and there on my wrist, the Garmin tells me how far and fast I have come. Not only that, but the Garmin comes with software that allows you to really dig into the details of your run. As shown below:

This kind of workout gear is essential for me during a race. I can keep track of my distance, my time ,my best and worse pace, my average pace, my calories burned, my exact route linked to google maps. For me, it is most helpful to study my pace at every mile and even every step. Where do I start to slow down and when am I my fastest? What contributed to those factors? I can even set the watch to beep at me if I fall below my goal pace mid run, which is especially helpful during a race.

The Forerunner 205 by Garmin paired with this program has dramatically improved my run. The running watch world is elaborate, but you don’t need to spend a fortune to get one of value. I got my running watch for only 120.00 on Amazon. That is a much better deal than the in- store price of 200 bucks or more for a running watch.

Score!
